Clark Scholars Program
The Cohort Leader connects and represents their cohort throughout the year, working with staff and students to plan events, foster engagement, and build an inclusive community.
They manage programs like the Lineage Program, oversee communications and event logistics, and provide feedback to enhance the scholar experience.
In this role, Maria’s goal is to support juniors and seniors at Penn in meaningful ways while preparing them for strong, lasting alumni connections.
Emily is eager to continue to foster strong connections with the Sophomore Cohort and help them make the most of all the Clark Scholars Program offers.
Noah is excited to support the First Year Cohort in making their inaugural year at Penn and in the Clark Scholars Program meaningful, fostering group connections and building a strong foundation for their years ahead.
The Communications Chair ensures all Clark Scholars Program stakeholders stay informed about program goals and initiatives.
In this new role, Jevin will create a newsletter to share updates with scholars, alumni, families, and program partners, both on and off campus.
He will support website maintenance, foster engagement in the Clark Scholars LinkedIn group, and focus on strategic initiatives to strengthen program visibility and communication strategies that help the program thrive and grow.
The Community Service Chair guides Clark Scholars in meaningful civic engagement, coordinating service opportunities in collaboration with the Faculty Director, Program Manager and community partners.
They maintain and share an up-to-date schedule of events, communicate opportunities to students, and encourage active participation.
Serving as a student leader, the Chair gathers feedback to help shape new initiatives and ensures that service remains accessible, engaging, and impactful. They are the primary contact for recurring service programs and related questions.
The Conferences and Events Chair enhances the Clark Scholars Program by coordinating professional, academic, and community-building opportunities. They create and maintain an annual database of conference options and the manage participation processes.
In time, the Chair hopes to foster connections across Clark Scholars Program Network institutions, promote networking at conferences, and assist Cohort Leaders in planning more student-led events.
Working closely with the Program Manager, they also help execute signature program gatherings, ensuring engaging and memorable experiences for all Scholars.
